Understanding the Stages in the Admission Process:

Stage 1: Application and Assessment

Application Requirements:

When you're filling out your college application, you'll need to provide some important details.

  1. Student and Family Information- This is your chance to share insights about your background and life, so try to be as detailed as possible. You’ll also need to upload an Official Identity Proof and a Recent Photograph.

  2. Academic Scores: You’ll have to submit your academic score of classes X to XII, which shows your academic performance and consistency. Although SAT and ACT are not mandatory for application, these scores are also accepted.

If you’ve taken a gap year, you’re not alone – and you certainly shouldn’t hesitate to apply!

  1. Non-Academic Engagement: This part gives colleges a glimpse into what you’re passionate about outside of school. Talk about your hobbies, sports, internships, community service, or any other activities that make you, you. You’ll also need to list three (or more) books that have impacted you and recommend one. Pick books from different genres that you’ve truly connected with.

  2. Essay Section: One of the most personal parts of the application is this, where colleges want to hear your voice. Personalize your response as much as possible—this is your chance to stand out! Need help perfecting the art of writing a college essay? Check out GuidEx!

  3. Letters of Recommendation (LORs): While the LORs aren’t mandatory, they can strengthen your application. You’ll find detailed instructions on how to submit LORs within the application form. While LORs might not seem like a big part of the application, they can be the key to differentiating your application from others'.
